Charissa is a versatile performer.
She belts the blues then performs a Mozart Aria-
all in a single night.
Charissa is a classically trained coloratura soprano capable of seamlessly transitioning from operatic to musical theatre roles with big vocal presence, "clever facial expressions," [CTX Live] and overall charm on stage.
Charissa’s talents have taken her to stages throughout the Lone Star State. She’s appeared at the Texas State Opera as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, taken on a lead role with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Austin and wowed audiences with the doo-wop and Motown sounds of Crystal in Wimberly Players’ production of Little Shop of Horrors.
Charissa earned a degree in Vocal Performance from Wichita State University and also completed a masters program in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy at Texas State University where she continued training with internationally renowned soprano Cheryl Parrish and was also a Gilbert & Sullivan scholarship recipient.
When Charissa isn’t on stage, she crafts her own online by hosting a one woman live stream show that screams piano bar but insists upon musical diversity & eccentricity. Charissa also released her debut album on all streaming platforms on October 29th, titled, Break the Vault.
