Charissa is a classically trained coloratura soprano capable of seamlessly transitioning to musical theater roles, with their big vocal sounds and energetic dance routines. Also in the repertoire of this Austin, Texas native: belting out the Blues.
Charissa’s crossover performance talents have taken her to stages throughout the Lone Star State. She’s appeared at the Texas State Opera as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, taken on a lead role with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Austin and wowed audiences with the doo-wop and Motown sounds of Crystal in Wimberly Players’ production of Little Shop of Horrors.
Charissa earned a degree in Vocal Performance from Wichita State University and also completed a masters program in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy at Texas State University where she continued training with internationally renowned soprano Cheryl Parrish and was also a Gilbert & Sullivan scholarship recipient.
When Charissa isn’t on stage, she assists other singers with their career development through her Creative Career Coaching services and also hosts her own Weekly Live Streams on her Twitch.tv channel.
